Learn Optics & Light with a visual teacher

Ask "Why does a prism split white light into colours?" and a 1:1 AI teacher plans the lesson, explains it out loud while it visualizes each step, and checks you got it, in 26 languages.

The subject

What is Optics & Light?

Optics & Light is the branch of physics about how light travels, bends, bounces, spreads and interferes, and how lenses, mirrors and instruments use that behaviour. Studying it means learning reflection and refraction, image formation by mirrors and lenses, dispersion into colours, diffraction and interference, and polarisation. It explains eyes and spectacles, cameras, microscopes, telescopes and optical fibres, and it is a favourite topic in school and entrance exams.

Where it is studied: Middle school science, senior secondary physics on every major board, and first-year university physics.

Why pictures

Why Optics & Light is taught visually

Optics is ray diagrams: rays bending at a surface, converging to an image, spreading through a slit, overlapping to make fringes. Drawing the principal rays through a lens shows where the image forms and why it is inverted, which no formula alone explains.

The tutor draws the picture as it speaks, one idea at a time, and answers your doubt on the same picture when you interrupt.

Questions

Asked, Answered

Can LetMeTeach draw ray diagrams while explaining?

Yes. It draws the lens or mirror, adds the principal rays one at a time and explains where each goes and why, then locates the image. Interrupt at any ray and it answers on the same diagram before adding the next.

Does it cover wave optics such as interference and diffraction?

It does. The tutor draws wavefronts, slits and path differences, and shows how fringes form, then relates the picture to the formula. If the wave picture is confusing, ask for a different explanation and it tries another angle.

Can I practise numerical optics questions for entrance exams?

Upload past papers or photos of problems and the tutor works through them step by step. The Tests section provides server-graded questions from a question bank and AI-made tests on lenses, mirrors and wave optics for timed practice.
