Learn Linguistics with a visual teacher

Ask "Why does "I saw the man with the telescope" have two meanings?" and a 1:1 AI teacher plans the lesson, explains it out loud while it visualizes each step, and checks you got it, in 26 languages.

The subject

What is Linguistics?

Linguistics is the scientific study of language: the sounds we make, the way words are built, how sentences are structured, how meaning works and how languages vary, change and are learned. Studying it means learning phonetics and phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics, together with sociolinguistics, historical linguistics and language acquisition. It is analytical and pattern-based, closer to mathematics than many expect, and it underpins language teaching and language technology.

Where it is studied: Undergraduate and postgraduate linguistics and language degrees, teacher training and courses in language technology.

Why pictures

Why Linguistics is taught visually

Linguistics is diagrams: a syntax tree for a sentence, a vowel chart, the organs of speech in cross-section, a morphological breakdown of a word, a family tree of languages, a sound change traced over time. A drawn tree shows why an ambiguous sentence has two readings.

The tutor draws the picture as it speaks, one idea at a time, and answers your doubt on the same picture when you interrupt.

Questions

Asked, Answered

Can an AI visual teacher draw syntax trees and sound charts?

Yes. It builds a tree node by node or places sounds on a vowel chart while explaining the reasoning aloud. You can interrupt at any node and ask why a phrase attaches there, and it answers on the same tree.

Can it explain linguistics using examples from my own language?

Choose the language and the tutor plans and explains in it, drawing examples from that language where it helps. This makes concepts like case, agreement and tone more concrete than examples from English alone.

Can I upload problem sets and readings?

Upload PDFs or images of problem sets, readings and past papers and the tutor works through them step by step. The Tests section adds AI-made tests so you can check your understanding of the core concepts between lessons.
