Cryptography and RSA, Taught not just answered.

A real-time, 1:1 lesson on Cryptography and RSA: an AI teacher explains it out loud while it visualizes every step. Interrupt it, ask why, and it checks you got it, in 26 languages.

The idea

What is Cryptography and RSA?

Cryptography and RSA cover how information is kept secret and authentic, and the classic public-key system. Symmetric ciphers use the same key to encrypt and decrypt, which raises the problem of sharing it safely. RSA solves this with a key pair: a public key anyone can use to encrypt and a private key only the owner holds to decrypt. Its security rests on multiplying two large primes being easy while factoring their product is extremely hard; the same maths lets a sender sign a message.

Where it appears: A Level Computer Science, AP CS Principles, university security and discrete maths courses, GATE CS, CBSE Class 12 extension.

Where learners get stuck

Why Cryptography and RSA is hard

Learners cannot see why a public key does not reveal the private key, muddle which key is used for encryption versus signing, and get lost in the modular arithmetic of choosing e and d from the primes.

The picture a good explanation starts with: Two keys drawn as a pair, a message locked with the public key and opened with the private one, beside a small worked RSA example with two tiny primes and the modular steps.

A lesson, step by step

How a lesson on Cryptography and RSA goes

  1. 01

    Ask

Type or say "How can a key be public without breaking the encryption?" in your own words, in any of 26 languages.

  2. 02

    Plan

The tutor plans a storyboard, one picture per idea, starting with two keys drawn as a pair, a message locked with the public key and opened with the private one, beside a small worked RSA example with two tiny primes and the modular steps.

  3. 03

    Explain

It explains Cryptography and RSA out loud while the picture builds step by step, pitched to your level (A Level Computer Science and up).

  4. 04

    Interrupt

Say "wait, why?" or type a doubt: it stops, answers over the picture, and carries on. Ask for a different explanation any time.

  5. 05

    Check

A checkpoint question makes sure the idea landed, and Tests keep the practice going.

  6. 06

    Your notes

Upload a PDF or a photo of your class notes or a past paper and the lesson follows your textbook's terms.

Ask it anything

Questions learners ask about Cryptography and RSA

  • How can a key be public without breaking the encryption?
  • Why is factoring big numbers so hard for computers?
  • What is the difference between symmetric and asymmetric encryption?

Any of these, or your own, typed or spoken. The tutor answers on the picture and adapts to how well you are following.

Questions

Asked, Answered

Can LetMeTeach explain Cryptography and RSA?

Yes. Ask in your own words and the tutor plans a lesson on Cryptography and RSA: it starts with two keys drawn as a pair, a message locked with the public key and opened with the private one, beside a small worked RSA example with two tiny primes and the modular steps. Then it explains each step out loud as the picture builds, stops when you say "wait, why?", and ends with a checkpoint question.

Where does Cryptography and RSA come up?

A Level Computer Science, AP CS Principles, university security and discrete maths courses, GATE CS, CBSE Class 12 extension. The lesson is pitched to your level and the exam or curriculum you follow, and you can upload your own notes or past papers so it uses your textbook's terms.

Can I learn Cryptography and RSA in my own language?

Yes. LetMeTeach teaches in 26 languages and plans the lesson in the language you choose rather than translating an English one, so the terms match what your textbook says. The Free plan includes 7 hours a month with no card.
